The Insurance Institute of East Africa (IIEA) is a professional education and workforce development institution serving the insurance and financial services sectors across Africa.
Based in Nairobi, Kenya, IIEA provides professional qualifications, executive certificates, specialist certifications, skills development programmes and continuing professional development designed to strengthen technical, professional, managerial and leadership capability.
While insurance remains at the core of our work, our portfolio has expanded to address the increasingly interconnected needs of the wider financial services sector, including compliance, anti-money laundering and financial crime, governance, risk, fraud management, digital transformation and treasury.
Professional Education & International Pathways
IIEA works with established international professional and education organisations to expand access to recognised qualifications, certifications and professional pathways across Africa.
Our current relationships and pathways include organisations such as the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), the International Compliance Association (ICA), the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), Cambridge International College (UK) and the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP).
These relationships complement IIEA’s own growing portfolio of professional and executive development programmes, enabling us to provide learning that combines international professional standards with regional relevance and accessibility.
Developing Workforce Capability
