Through the Insurance Institute of East Africa (IIEA), insurance and financial services professionals in the region can access membership of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF), a leading membership, education, training and professional development organisation for the insurance and finance industry in the Asia-Pacific region.
ANZIIF membership provides a recognised framework for demonstrating professional competence, continuing professional development and commitment to professional standards. Membership levels accommodate professionals at different stages of their careers, with qualified membership providing progression through the Certified Insurance Professional (CIP) framework.
Certified Insurance Professional (CIP)
The CIP designation recognises insurance and financial services professionals who have attained an ANZIIF qualification or recognised equivalent, maintain their knowledge and skills through continuing professional development, and adhere to the ANZIIF Code of Ethics.
CIP membership levels include Affiliate, Associate, Senior Associate and Fellow, with eligibility determined by the relevant qualifications and professional requirements. Eligible members may use the appropriate ANZIIF post-nominal and CIP digital badge, providing a visible demonstration of their professional standing to employers, clients, peers and the wider industry.
CIP members are required to maintain their professional competence through 25 CIP points of professional development each calendar year, including the applicable technical learning requirements.

ANZIIF Digital Badges
ANZIIF’s digital badges are a way to validate your skills and achievements digitally.
What are Digital Badges?
Digital badges are a secure way to display and share your professional achievements. By digitally certifying your ANZIIF achievement you can verify with employers, clients, peers and the industry that your competencies are up to date and issued by a trusted provider, ANZIIF.
Unlike paper certificates, digital badges allow you to easily demonstrate your competencies and achievements online. ANZIIF digital badges protect the integrity of your achievement by providing a link to verified data that describes your achievements and the process required to earn them. Each digital badge has a unique URL attached to an individual – giving you the digital recognition you deserve.
Why use Digital badges?
Learn it! Earn it! Share it!
Digital badges help you gain recognition by allowing you to easily display and share your achievements. As they are available online they are portable and transparent, and the detail behind each badge means others can see what it took for you to earn the award.
You can share your badge on a social networking profile like LinkedIn, embed into an email signature or web page and also share it through email or social media. According to LinkedIn research, profiles with certifications and badges receive six times the number of profile views.
